A: The duration for steaming a wedding dress largely depends on its design and complexity. On average, it can take anywhere from 30 to 90 minutes.

Q: Can my wedding dress be steamed on the morning of the wedding?

A: The closer to the wedding, the better. Steaming on the morning of the big day is ideal. While the dress may feel slightly damp from the steam, it will dry completely within about 10 minutes, leaving it crisp, fresh, and in perfect condition for the ceremony.

Q: Does the dress get wet during the steaming process?

A: No, the dress won’t become wet. The steam may make it feel slightly damp, but it dries quickly—usually in about 15 minutes—so it will be ready to wear shortly after steaming.

Q: Can I add bridesmaid dresses for steaming on the wedding day?

A: Adding bridesmaid dresses on the day isn’t recommended due to the time constraints. Each additional dress can take around 20 to 30 minutes to steam, which may disrupt the overall timeline. It’s best to let me know in advance if bridesmaid dresses also need steaming, so I can adjust my arrival time accordingly.

Q: Do you need a dedicated space for steaming the dresses?

A: Ideally, yes. The steam and heat generated during the process can affect your hair and makeup, so it’s best to have a separate room. In some cases, a large bathroom may suffice.

Q: What should I do with my wedding dress on the day of the wedding?

A: If you’ve booked our service, leave everything to us! I’ll take care of unpacking, hanging, steaming, and preparing your dress, whether this is done the night before or the morning of your wedding.

Q: Do you bring a garment rail to hang the dresses?

A: Unfortunately, I don’t supply a garment rail. Most venues provide sufficient hanging space, but it’s a good idea to check with your venue or wedding planner. If you’re getting ready at home, some brides opt to purchase a temporary garment rail online.

Q: Can you assist my mother with her outfit as well?

A: Yes, we’d be happy to help! If your mother or any other members of the bridal party are getting ready at the same venue, we can assist them with dressing. 

Q: What if there’s an issue with one of the dresses on the day?

A: We're equipped to handle almost dress emergency. We carry all the necessary tools for minor repairs to fix any issues, so there’s no need to panic if something unexpected comes up.

Q: Can you help the groomsmen with ties and buttonholes?

A: Yes, we can assist the men with ties, buttonholes, and any other finishing touches—provided they’re getting ready at the same venue as the bridal party.

Q: Which areas do you offer your bridal dressing and steaming services?

A: We are based in Manchester. If your wedding is outside these areas, I’m happy to travel, though additional travel and accommodation fees may apply. Please request a quote for more details.

Q: How much do your services cost?

A: To Request a Quote, please provide the following information:

1. Postcode: This helps us estimate travel time and costs, and assign the nearest available team member. Please note, some areas may not be covered.
2. Date and Time: We need to check the availability of our team members for your requested date and time.
3. Items: Include photos of your wedding dress and wedding veil, along with the care label (indicating fiber content), as well as any additional items or other attire.

If your wedding is outside our usual coverage area, additional costs for travel and possibly overnight stays will be added. Please get in touch for a detailed quote.

Q: How do I pay for your services?

A: Bank transfer is the easiest way to make payments. Once you confirm your package, I’ll send you the payment details. To secure your booking, a non-refundable deposit 50GBP is required, and the remaining balance must be paid one week before your wedding day.
